1. Who we are

GoMaster.me is operated by Toronto Mavens, a business registered in Ontario, Canada ("we"). GoMaster.me is a platform that shows independent home-service professionals ("pros") on video and helps homeowners contact them.

2. We connect, pros do the work

Pros are independent businesses, not our employees or agents. The contract for any job is between you and the pro. The pro is responsible for the work, its price, permits, licences, insurance and warranty.

We check that pros say they hold the required licence and insurance, but we do not guarantee any pro or any job.

3. For homeowners

• Using the site is free.
• Give true information when you contact a pro.
• Calls through our number may be recorded (you will hear a notice).
• Only customers with a confirmed job may leave a review, and the review must be honest.

4. For pros

Pros also accept the separate Pro Agreement, which covers commission (none for the first 6 months after joining; then 10% of jobs from GoMaster.me, counted on labour: the job amount minus parts, before HST; 5% for customers who came through the pro's own video or link, minimum $25, maximum $300 per job), referral payouts, the 12-month no-bypass rule, and video rights (raw footage stays yours; edited videos belong to GoMaster.me and you may post them anywhere).

5. No going around the platform

A customer who found a pro through GoMaster.me stays a GoMaster.me customer for 12 months. During that time the pro must not move the customer off the platform to avoid the commission.

• Pros must not ask for or give personal phone numbers, e-mails or other contacts in calls or messages through the platform number.
• Calls through the platform number may be recorded and are checked. Phone numbers and e-mails in platform SMS are hidden automatically.
• Doing the job and taking payment is fine; hiding a job from GoMaster.me is not.
• 1st time: the commission is charged plus a $100 fee. 2nd time: the account is suspended for 12 months. 3rd time: permanent ban.

6. Content

Do not upload anything illegal, false or that you have no right to share. We may remove content and close accounts that break these terms.

7. Limits of our liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for the work done by pros or for indirect losses. Nothing here limits rights you have under Ontario consumer protection law.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. We will show the date of the last update on this page.

9. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and of Canada. The English version governs if translations differ.
