Pro Agreement
The rules between GoMaster.me and every pro on the platform, in plain words.
Last updated: 2026-10-04
1. Who agrees
This agreement is between Toronto Mavens, the Ontario business that operates GoMaster.me ("we"), and you, an independent home-service professional ("the pro"). You accept it when you join GoMaster.me.
2. Joining
- You hold every licence your work requires (for example, TSSA for gas work in Ontario) and keep it valid.
- You carry general liability insurance of at least $1,000,000.
- Everything you tell us and customers about yourself is true.
- We review every new pro and may approve, pause or close an account.
3. What you pay
- Joining, your page and video editing are free.
- For the first 6 months from the day you join GoMaster.me, you pay no commission. Commission applies to jobs done after that period. No payment card is needed to join.
- After those 6 months — for every job done for a customer who came through GoMaster.me: 10% of the job amount.
- The fee is counted on your labour only: the amount the customer pays, minus parts and materials at your cost, before HST. Keep parts receipts; we may ask for them.
- Your own customers — who came through your video or your personal GoMaster.me link: 5% instead of 10%, minimum $25, maximum $300 per job.
- No fee for a customer who called but did not need the job.
- You tell us the job amount within 7 days of finishing the job. We send a statement once a month.
4. Money you earn from your videos
If a customer came to GoMaster.me through your video and then hired another pro (for example in another area or trade), you receive 5% of that job (counted the same way: labour, before HST). This payout comes out of the commission paid by the pro who did the job: while that pro is in their first 6 months with no commission, there is no commission and no payout for that job. Payouts are monthly, once you have at least $25.
5. Customers stay on the platform for 12 months
A customer who found you through GoMaster.me stays a GoMaster.me customer for 12 months from the first contact. During that time every job with this customer counts as a GoMaster.me job.
- Do not ask for or give personal phone numbers, e-mails or other contacts in calls or messages through the platform number.
- Calls through the platform number are recorded and checked. Phone numbers and e-mails in platform SMS are hidden automatically.
- 1st time: the commission is charged plus a $100 fee. 2nd time: the account is suspended for 12 months. 3rd time: permanent ban.
6. Your videos
- Raw footage stays yours. You give us the right to store, edit and analyse it — to make your videos, to improve our editing, and to use parts of it in other GoMaster.me videos (for example, a compilation of several pros' repairs), with your name.
- Edited videos belong to GoMaster.me. You may post them on any of your own accounts, any time, for free.
- GoMaster.me may show your videos on the site and in its own advertising, with your name.
- Do not film customers' faces, addresses or documents without their consent. We keep raw footage for as long as it is useful for the service, and we may delete it at any time at our discretion.
7. Quality
Do honest, clean work, give customers a clear price before you start, and answer calls and messages. After complaints we may talk to you, pause your page or close the account.
8. Customer information
Use customers' information only to do their job. Do not sell it, share it or use it for anything else. We follow Canada's privacy law (PIPEDA) and expect the same from you.
9. You are independent
You are an independent business, not our employee or agent. You set your prices, pay your own taxes and HST, and are responsible for your work, permits and warranty.
10. Ending
You may leave at any time; we may close an account with notice, or right away for serious breaches. Fees for jobs already done stay due, and section 5 still applies for 12 months.
11. Changes and law
We may update this agreement and will show the date of the last update on this page. Ontario and Canadian law applies. The English version governs if translations differ.
